Reflection 1
This is my first blog ever, so bear with me. I am new to writing a blog and after researching some blogs I think I am ready. The most current reading that I have read is, "7 Things to Know About Blogging." It's about this Professor Thomas who came up with the idea of blogging in her class. She made each of students create a blog to discuss the class and its ideas. She found that it worked great because the students got to talk about the class and the students got to know one another better through discussions. Professor Thomas also found that she got to know her students better by reading their posts and their comments on other student's posts. I thought it was a good decision on her hand because it is a good way for students to interact with each other and a good way to talk about the information discuss in class. I am a shy student. I am not the one to sit in the front of the classroom and ask a million questions. In fact, I barely ever talk to my teachers because I am too shy to ask. You would never see me staying after class to ask a question about the material. Instead, I sit in the back where I can't be noticed or called on. I try to figure out the information on my own rather than asking a question.

For the most part, I am the same as you when it comes interacting with my professor. Most of the time I don't stay after class to speak with the professor and often try and figure out things for myself. I'm slowly starting to get out of that habit though. I have found that the few times I did decide to stay after class or have some interaction with the teacher have been beneficial for me and my learning experience.
ReplyDeleteI am the same Casey. I'm not the one to stay after class to chat it up with the professor, not because I don't want to know everything I need to know for the class, but because I'm too shy and nervous to talk to the professor. I like online classes and things like blogs and discussion boards to help me communicate with the class because I will speak up rather than sitting in a classroom and having to speak in front of a big group of people.
